OUR PORTFOLIO

WHY DCDG?

The lack of diversity within the arts extends to curators as well, reflecting an imbalance in decision-making roles. In the United States, a mere 4% of curators are African American, and the statistics are similar for other artists of color. This disparity in curatorial positions further perpetuates the underrepresentation of black and brown artists within galleries and institutions.

Furthermore, the number of fine art and creative agencies operated by black individuals or communities remains strikingly low, with only a fraction existing in comparison to their non-black counterparts. This scarcity limits the platforms available for black artists to showcase their work and hampers their access to the art market.

Supporting our creative agency represents a significant step forward in achieving inclusion and elevating the cultural landscape. Our agency proudly represents some of the most promising artists of color and creatives from the future generation, offering a platform for their voices to be heard and their work to be showcased. By collaborating with us, brands and institutions can take up the positive challenge of rectifying the disparaging statistics in the art world. Partnering with our agency not only demonstrates a commitment to diversity but also an investment in the vibrant and diverse narratives that these talented artists bring to the forefront. Together, we can collectively reshape the

art industry, fostering a more inclusive and equitable future that celebrates the richness of black and brown artistic expression. It’s noteworthy that a substantial number of major companies have yet to engage creative agencies or fine arts agencies on retainer, emphasizing the need for greater awareness and action in promoting inclusion and representation within the arts.
